Our small scale produce farm

We’re Josh Judson and Emma MacPhail and we run Meadowbank Farms in Meadowbank, Prince Edward Island, located just a one-minute drive outside Cornwall. We both grew up in Cornwall and started a personal garden together in 2020. In 2021 we decided to expand to growing in a field, we now farm on a quarter acre. We grow a variety of vegetables from May to October and this season we’re offering a weekly summer box subscription.

Meadowbank Farms has been a few years in the making, we enjoy the learning opportunities and challenges that come with each season. We look forward to sharing fresh produce with our community, for updates follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an organized process involving the distribution and growth of local produce, this connects farmers with their community. In spring, residents subscribe for a “share” of the year’s harvest. Members are sharing the risks and the rewards of the growing season. They commit financially upfront in the spring, this allows farmers to have working capital early in the season when funds can be low. Part of the risk is accepting that some seasons' weather or pest pressure may affect the crop resulting in lower yields or less variety in the shares. We plant every 2-3 weeks to try and offer as many varieties throughout the whole season as possible.

You can order a singular box for $30 anytime, to place your order message us on social media, email meadowbankfarms@gmail.com or call 902-213-4488. Our CSA members receive a box every week for 12 weeks at a discounted rate ($250 for 12 weeks).

Although we are not certified organic we grow our produce with organic practices to the best of our abilities.

Visit our farm stand at 415 Meadowbank Rd in Cornwall. Our produce will also be available in local grocery stores (come back later for a full list of stores). If you’d like to place an order please email meadowbankfarms@gmail.com or call 902-213-4488.

We started growing produce together in the summer of 2020 in raised beds. We expanded to a quarter acre of field space and a greenhouse spring of 2021. We had our first CSA subscription during the 2022 season. This season we are expanding our growing space to 2 acres to include a pumpkin patch.
